Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott became the first female hip hop artist inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. An honor also shared by Jay Z who, in recent years, became the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Missy, along with her peers and millions of fans were extremely excited about the news. Missy Elliott is a true legend to Hip Hop and to women across the globe.
